Murderer

The Resume

    (April 26, 1969-September 23, 2010)
    Born in Virginia
Hired two men to kill her husband, Julian C. Lewis, and stepson, Charles Lewis, to collect Charles' $250,000 insurance policy (October 30, 2002)
Pled guilty to seven charges including murder for hire and conspiracy
Sentenced to death by lethal injection
Two triggermen were sentenced to life in prison
Became the 12th woman executed since the US resumed capital punishment in 1976
Became the first woman executed in Virginia since 1912

Why she might be annoying:

She offered the hitmen sexual favors from herself and her 16-year-old daughter.
She began asking about collecting on her stepson's insurance policy just hours after the murders.
Many of the protests against her execution seemed to be based on her gender rather the evidence in the case.
Among the people protesting her execution was Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, which is pretty ballsy coming from the president of country that sentences women to death by stoning.

Why she might not be annoying:

Her IQ tested in the 70-80 range, leading her supporters to question whether she really was the mastermind behind the crime as the judge who sentenced her to death claimed.
One of the gunmen, Matthew Shallenberger, wrote a letter saying that he started the affair with Lewis to 'get her to fall in love with me so she would give me the insurance money.'
She ministered to other prisoners, with chaplain Rev. Lynn Litchfield saying, 'I really believe Teresa can be a positive influence inside.'
