Best known as the blind flower girl in 'City Lights (1931)'
Acted in 'The Brat (1931),' 'Charlie Chan's Greatest Case (1933),' 'He Couldn't Take It (1933),' 'White Heat (1934)' and 'Troubled Waters (1936)'

Why she might be annoying:

She partied hard.
She was Charlie Chaplin's least favorite leading lady.
She was completely apathetic to acting, making her hard to direct on 'City Lights.'
Chaplin grew so fed up that he eventually fired her.
When he couldn't find a replacement, she refused to come back until her salary was doubled.
She said later in life: 'I never liked Charlie, and he never liked me.'
Her squeaky voice prevented her from having a long movie career.
She married four times, including once to Cary Grant.

Why she might not be annoying:

She claimed that Grant hit her several times.
She impressed Chaplin with her ability to appear blind.
She received some coaching from Marion Davies.
She worked for the Red Cross during World War II.
Despite her lack of acting experience, her performance in 'City Lights' is still praised by critics.
