Why he might be annoying:

He is credited with inventing the toilet, but he didn't (people who tell you that, are full of crap!).
WW I United States soldiers referred to the toilet as a 'crapper.'
He selfishly named his shops 'Thomas Crapper & Co.'
Despite popular belief, he was never knighted by England's royalty.
Some asian people have trouble with the letter 'l,' so they often pronounced the electrical switch product 'The Clapper' as 'The Crapper.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He had to deal with a lot of assholes in his profession.
People's shit was his bread and butter.
He held nine patents for plumbing, four of which, were improvements to drains.
He was never turned down for a patent.
He was a sanitary engineer for royalty members of England.
