Why she might be annoying:

She was known for her vicious-looking eyes.
She usually appeared bitter.
She was called the 'Bob Knight of women's hoops' due to her screaming at referees and players.
Many compared her accomplishments in the women's game with counterparts in the men's game (such as Dean Smith), even though the styles between the genders are way different.

Why she might not be annoying:

She started coaching Tennessee's women's team when she was just 22.
She won eight championships, more than any other college women's coach.
She won more times and been to more Final Fours than any other NCAA Division I coach, men's or women's.
She was so successful, she was offered coaching jobs with men's teams.
She liked to cook and invited opposing teams over for barbecues.
She is an inaugural member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame (1999).
She had to deal with the unfortunate maiden name, Pat Head.
