The Resume

    (June 25, 1993- )
Born in Shrewsbury, England, United Kingdom
    Raised in Dallas, Texas
Life insurance salesman from Plano, Texas
    Emergency backup goaltender
Played for the Anaheim Ducks in the third period against the Dallas Stars (April 30, 2022)

Why he might be annoying:

He was virtually unknown in the hockey community, prior to his third period appearance in the Ducks last game of the season.
He has the distinction of surrendering the game-winning goal, after coming into a tie game as an emergency backup.
Because he surrendered the game-winning goal, he got credited with the loss.
He looked rather silly wearing a Stars helmet and equipment with a Ducks jersey.
He said he was eating a hot dog in the stands when he got the call to enter the game, following an injury to Ducks goalie Anthony Stolarz.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first emergency backup to play in a game since David Ayres in 2020.
He moved from England to the United States at the age of 11, when his father accepted a job in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
He took an errant puck to the head at the age of 12, which cost him the sight in his left eye.
He had prior experience as an emergency backup for the ECHL's Allen Americans, stopping the only shot he faced (2016-17).
Due to the hasty nature of his appearance, the Ducks equipment staff didn't have time to get a name bar ready for him when he entered the game.
He earned the third star of the game for his performance and was awarded a game puck and the jersey he wore.
