Why he might be annoying:

He turned down a chance to attend the animation school at CalArts.
He calls himself ‘a frustrated rock and roll musician.’
He directed the ‘Road to Rhode Island’ episode of ‘Family Guy,’ in which Osama bin Laden attempts to distract airport security by performing a number from ‘A Chorus Line.’ Not surprisingly, the scene was cut from reruns after 9/11.

Why he might not be annoying:

By the time he was ten, his work was being displayed at local art shows and he was creating the publicity posters for community theater shows.
’Life is a Fish,’ a comic strip he wrote for the USC student newspaper ‘The Daily Trojan,’ was so popular he earned $14,000 a year from ‘Fish’ merchandise…. And it ran in ‘The Daily Trojan’ for five years after he left USC.
While eating with his family in a restaurant, he doodled a triangle-headed kid on the butcher paper covering the paper and was so taken with the result that he kept it and used it as the model for Phineas.
He won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Writing in Animation (2010).
He said that when faced with doubts, ‘I always fall back on, ‘How would Chuck Jones draw this?’’
