TV Reality Show Contestant

The Resume

    (July 14, 1981- )
Born in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England, United Kingdom
    Middle name is Stephen
Contestant on the BBC reality show ‘Any Dream Will Do’
Won the title role in the 2007 West End revival of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’
Performed on the West End in ‘Wicked’ (2010–11), ‘Legally Blonde: The Musical’ (2011) and The West End Men (2013-14)
Portrayed Ben 'Lofty' Chiltern on BBC’s ‘Casualty’ (2014-16) and ‘Holby City’ (2017-19)
Recorded 'Any Dream Will Do,' 'Gonna Make You a Star,' and 'You and Me'

Why he might be annoying:

He publicly underwent a hair transplant.
He had already performed in the ‘Joseph’ musical, as a touring understudy for Pharaoh and Levi, by the time he was a contestant on ‘Any Dream Will Do’ (which probably could have counted as a disqualifier).
He met his wife Denise Van Outen when she was a judge on the 'Any Dream' reality show and later divorced her.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was selected from over 10,000 applicants as one of the final 12 potential 'Josephs' who performed live on TV every Saturday night to win the public's vote.
Over three million votes were cast for the ‘Any Dream Will Do’ finale before he was finally announced the winner.
His prize was a six month contract to perform on the West End in the ‘Joseph’ musical, but his run was so successful it was extended by an additional year.
After his win, he and fellow finalists Lewis Bradley and Keith Jack recorded a single for the BBC's annual ‘Children In Need’ fundraiser (reached number 2 in the official UK singles chart).
He sang ‘Morning Has Broken’ at the Annual Remembrance Day celebration service at Royal Albert Hall in 2019.
