To make him cry for the film 'Skippy,' the director told him that they were going to shoot his dog.
He fell asleep on Marie Dressler's lap at the Oscar ceremony the year he was nominated for 'Skippy.'
After Lionel Barrymore beat him out for the Oscar, he came up to Jackie and said 'You deserved this, but they gave it to me because they think I'm going to die soon.'
