The Resume

    (August 11, 1964- )
    Born in Seoul, Korea (South)
    Comic book artist
Publisher/Chief Creative Officer at DC Comics
Worked on ‘The Uncanny X-Men’ revamp (1989-91), ‘Superman: For Tomorrow’ (2004-05) and ‘Batman: Hush’ (2002-03)
    Founded Image Comics in 1992

Why he might be annoying:

He struck out to start his own comic publishing company, and then left after losing interest (he sold the Image affiliate WildStorm Productions to DC Comics in 1998).
His decision to sell alienated him among several artists contracted to Image who had vowed never to work with DC Comics again (one in particular).
He helmed the controversial New 52 run at DC Comics (which remains divisive among fans).
One of his side jobs involved designing a monster-themed cereal box for General Mills.
He said: 'Not everyone reads comics, although most people know the major superheroes, but the majority of people play video games.'

Why he might not be annoying:

His work in helping Chris Claremont revive the X-Men franchise single-handedly raised to a major property, and was the chief blueprint for the hugely popular X-Men: The Animated Series.
His work on the X-Men saw him create fan favorites Gambit and Bishop, and - most shockingly - literally race swap the British Psylocke into the body of a hot Japanese ninja (fans have been eternally grateful ever since).
He has received a Harvey Award, Inkpot Award and three Wizard Fan Awards.
His collaboration with Jeph Loeb on the 'Hush' story arc of Batman was an instant classic and was ranked #10 on IGN's 25 greatest Batman graphic novels.
He took over for Geoff Johns after he left DC Comics to jumpstart the film franchise division.
As of 2023, The Uncanny X-Men #1 remains the best-selling comic book of all time, according to Guinness World Records.
