Why he might be annoying:

The Cardinals didn't draft him until the 7th round of the NFL Draft due to his size at 6 feet tall.
He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 1960 AFL Draft and never played for them.
He broke both of his hands while playing against the New York Giants (October 31, 1965).
He never played in a postseason game throughout his playing career.
He named one of his sons after himself.
He was not behind the creation of the safety blitz as many people believed, it was actually invented by Cardinals secondary coach Chuck Drulis.

Why he might not be annoying:

He used to play as a halfback and a cornerback in college.
He made the safety blitz popular, resulting him to be nicknamed 'Wildcat.'
Despite having broken wrists, he had the ability to catch interceptions.
He set Cardinal records for interceptions with 52 and career interception-return yards with 800.
He stayed to be linked to the Cardinals as he held a position as a coach and as an executive after he retired as a player.
He was placed at #43 by The Sporting News as one of the 100 Greatest Football Players (1999).
The Cardinals retired his #8 uniform.
He was chosen as a member of the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team and the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.
