    Drafted 1st overall by the New York Knicks in the 1964 NBA Draft
    Center/Power forward for the New York Knicks (1964-1965), Baltimore Bullets (1965-1966, 1970), Los Angeles Lakers (1966-1968), Chicago Bulls (1968) and the Boston Celtics (1968-1970)
    NBA champion (1969)

Why he might be annoying:

    He shares his name with a golfer.
    He was once declared as ineligible following a season in high school which resulted the basketball team to forefeit 22 games.
    The longest he stayed with an NBA team was two years.
    He played in three playoff appearances in which the Bullets, Lakers and the Bulls failed to succeed in the first round.
    He did not appear in any game of the 1969 NBA Finals as the Celtics beat the Lakers in seven games.
    He was hampered by injuries in the later stages of his NBA playing career.
    Rapper Blu did a song called 'Bad News Barnes.'

    He came out of suspension to guide his high school team to 10 straight wins with a state championship.

    He defied U.S. Olympic coach Henry Iba's fears of him hurting someone as he went on to score an average of 8.5 points to help the U.S. win the gold medal.
    He left Texas Western College with all-time records of career double-doubles and season records of points, rebounds and field goals.
    The University of Texas-El Paso retired his #45 uniform.
    He established his own barbecue sauce.
    He ran in the 1996 Summer Olympics torch relay.
    He donated his time involving school counseling, a celebrity tennis tournament and youth violence conferences for the 'Kids in Trouble Inc.' organization and volunteer coached a church basketball team.
