The Resume

    (August 22, 1930-June 8, 2010)
    Born in Khartoum, Sudan
Acted in' 'The Twelve Chairs (1970)' 'History of the World, Part I (1981)' 'The Big Blue (1988)' and 'Safe Sex (1999)'
Portrayed the original Carmen Ghia in 'The Producers (1967)'

Why he might be annoying:

Most of his filmography is in Greek.
He had inappropriate Svengali relationships with his pupils -- most famously Anne Bancroft and Jane Fonda.
He was described as being demanding and controlling over every aspect of Jane Fonda's life, extending to barring her father from visits (while also living off their money).
When Fonda dumped him for Roger Vadim, he followed them to Rome and convinced them to give him a job as Fonda's acting coach on the set of Barbarella. And then proceeded to annoy Jane with his attempts to undermine their relationship.
During a boat trip to Saint-Tropez, Jane got drunk and she fell unconscious in her cabin.
Voutsinas then talked Vadim into them both crawling into bed with her, causing Jane to wake up screaming.
Fonda was so furious about the incident that she cut Andreas off completely as a friend and did not make him the godfather of their about-to-be-born baby as promised.

Why he might not be annoying:

His father owned a spaghetti factory in Khartoum, but it failed during World War II, resulting in the family moving back to Athens.
As a teenager, he would escape to Paris, where he performed in drag, and then to London, where he studied at the Old Vic Theatre School.
He was a student at the famous Actors' Studio in New York and became good friends with Lee Strasberg.
He coached Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty (virtually all of his pupils went on to be accepted into the Actors' Studio).
He had memorable roles in three Mel Brooks movies, most likely due to his association with Anne Bancroft, who by this time had married Brooks.
After his falling out with Fonda, he remained in France, where he founded Le Theatre Des Cinquante, an acting workshop based on the principles of Lee Strasberg.
He later relocated to his native Greece, where he both performed and taught for the State Theater.
