    Forward for the Colorado Avalanche (2004-10), Nashville Predators (2010-11) and the Ottawa Senators (2011)
    Committed suicide at the age of 34

Why he might be annoying:

    His numbers dropped off considerably following his rookie season as he failed to replicate the same degree of success in the seasons afterward.
    He struggled with depression.
    He mixed his anti-depressants and painkillers together to successfully kill himself.
    He was addicted to heroin, and had been in rehab three times before his death.
    It was speculated him and his wife were on the verge of separating, which contributed to his decision to take his own life.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He tied an NHL rookie record for most game-winning goals scored.
    Had he not been injured near the end of the 2005-06 season, he would have been the third finalist in the Calder Trophy race alongside both Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin.
    He was a member of the Kootenay Ice team that won the Memorial Cup (2002).
    He played for the Slovakian National team at the 2006 Winter Olympics.
    He made his permanent residence in the Denver area, after he retired from active play.
