Why he might be annoying:

    He went by Buck, rather than his birth name of Junious.
    He wore a number that was traditionally reserved for wide receivers and tight ends.
    His lack of speed was a result of his massive frame.
    He was easily confused with the actor William ‘Buck’ Buchanan.
    His death occurred one week prior to his enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

    He was recruited to attend Grambling State University by the legendary Eddie Robinson, who offered him a scholarship.
    He was the first black player in professional football history to be selected first overall in a draft, when he was the top pick in the 1963 AFL Draft.
    He was a member of the Chiefs first Super Bowl championship team (1969).
    He was a durable lineman during his career, playing in 166 consecutive games.
    He excelled at using his large stature as a way to intimidate quarterbacks.
    He made his permanent home in Kansas City after his brief coaching career, where he established himself as a prominent figure in the city’s business community up to his passing.
    He was one of four Grambling State players from the Eddie Robinson era to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
