Why he might be annoying:

His conditioning and reinforcement theories can be a nightmare for students.
He was a psychologist who suffered from depression.
He was a harsh critic of cognitive psychology, feeling it threatened his body of work.
He promoted several inventions which turned out to be commercial failures.
The success of his Skinner Box relied solely on the shoulders of a starving rat.
He had an enormous forehead.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was one of the most influential psychologists of the twentieth century.
The US government awarded him with the National Medal of Science (1968).
He believed rewarding good behavior was more effective than punishing bad behavior.
His behavior modification theories have effectively been used in work places, schools and prisons.
Eight days prior to his death from leukemia, he lectured at an APA convention.
He earned his PhD from Harvard University.
