Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He was a minor league journeyman.
He was considered a depth forward on all three of the Original Six franchises he played for.
His playing career was derailed by knee injuries.
He was traded back and forth between the Canadiens and Rangers twice in a calendar year.
He unwisely chose to play for the World Hockey Association's New York Raiders/Golden Blades, instead of the New York Islanders, who selected him in the 1972 NHL Expansion Draft.

Why he might not be annoying:

He happened to be in the right place at the right time when he earned two Stanley Cup rings with the Canadiens (1965) and the Bruins (1972).
He was a member of the inaugural Flyers roster.
He established himself as a full-time NHL player upon being selected in the 1967 NHL Expansion Draft.
He served as an ambassador for the KidSport charity in his home province of Saskatchewan.
He said after he laid Gordie Howe out with a body check, instead of taking the brunt of one of Howe's trademark hits, Howe told him 'You're lucky you're from Saskatchewan' instead and let him get off scot free.
