    Forward for the U.S. Olympic Gold Medal Ice Hockey Team (1980)
    Head coach for the men’s hockey team at Saint John’s University (1993-2008), HC Ambrì-Piotta (2008-09), HC Asiago (2009-11) and the women’s hockey team at Minnesota State University

Why he might be annoying:

    His nickname is ‘Bah.’
    He got the name from his older brother, who couldn’t pronounce the word ‘brother’ when he was younger.
    He was among a handful of players from the Olympic team that did not reach the NHL.
    His performance at the 1980 Winter Olympics led him to be targeted for dirty hits from Canadian born players.
    He complained about the North American style of play, citing it was too rough in contrast to the European leagues.

    He was a standout player in the Minnesota high school hockey ranks.
    He made the men’s hockey team at the University of Minnesota-Duluth as a walk-on player.
    He assisted on Mike Eruzione‘s game-winning goal which eliminated the Soviet hockey team from the 1980 Winter Olympic Games.
    His play at the 1980 Olympics earned him a tryout with the Buffalo Sabres after the games.
    He served as an assistant coach on Ralph Backstrom‘s staff at the University of Denver following the end of his playing career.
    He was credited with helping make the Saint John’s University men’s hockey program relevant within the first five years of taking over.
