    He is a self-proclaimed video game nerd.
    He goes by the Instagram handle hockey_gaud.
    He has a sleeve tattoo on his arm.
    His consistency and productions during his first couple seasons in the professional ranks caused some hockey pundits to question the Canucks decision to draft him as high as they did.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He has a great sense of humour and was well liked by his teammates.
    He earned the Hobey Baker Award as the top college player, while playing at Northeastern University (2018).
    He proved his critics wrong, and served as a serviceable player for the Canucks.
    He is an avid sports fan and wisely deleted tweets that pertained to his Bruins fandom during the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals, upon entering the NHL Entry Draft (especially being drafted by the Canucks).
