Why he might be annoying:

He had a child out of wedlock.
His wife Gena is two years older than him.
He recorded 284 penalty minutes in a single season while playing for Portland of the Western Hockey League (1992-93).
He played on four different teams (2 in the NHL and 2 in the AHL) during the 1995-96 season.
He was primarily used as a fifth or sixth defenseman throughout his career.

Why he might not be annoying:

He won the Calder Cup with the American Hockey League's Albany River Rats (1995).
He became stepfather to Gena's son from her first marriage.
He participated in 'Battle of The Blades' (third season) to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society as his father suffered from colon cancer, stomach cancer and Hodgkin's lymphoma.
He was affected by Wade Belak suicide as he and Belak were teammates during their tenure with the Calgary Flames, then reunited during the 'Battle of The Blades' boot camp.
He didn't have any problems with his role as a depth player during the course of his career.
