Found guilty of scheming to win the money

Why he might be annoying:

He had lost in a qualifying round of 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire.'
In his second attempt, he won the full £1,000,000 (about $1,600,000).
He, his wife and another contestant was found guilty of conspiring to win the money (April 7, 2003).
He is being prosecuting for insurance fraud.
He claims to suffer from depression.
At the end of Day 1, he won £4,000 and was shaky, relying on two of three lifelines for easier questions.
He came back the 2nd day with his wife and another contestant, who worked a coughing scheme that would help Charles get the right answers.
There were 32 isolated coughs from Tecwen Whittock, 13 were at insignificant times and 19 were specific when Charles read the four possible answers and got to the correct one.
Three times he went with a definite answer and then changed his mind when the correct answer was coughed at.
On the final question, he went through the four possible answers four times, each time Tecwen Whittock coughed when he got to the correct answer.
The judge said he was 'shamed in the most public way.'
He never got any of the winnings.
After being found guilty, he resigned his position in the British Army.
He was fined £80,000 and an 18 month suspended sentence.

Why he might not be annoying:

He has a poker face.
He is likeable.
He looks like Phil Collins.
To prove he is not stupid, he applied to MENSA and was accepted with a 149 I.Q.
He still claims he did not cheat on 'Who Wants to be A Millionaire.'
