Why she might be annoying:

She was promiscuous.
Some of her sexual conquests included Errol Flynn and surfer Duke Kahanamoku.
She was divorced twice.
Her first husband, James Cromwell, married her for her money.
Porfirio Rubirosa, her second husband, fainted when he was shown a pre-nup moments before the wedding.
She accidentally ran over and killed her boyfriend/butler Eduardo Tirella (October 1966).
Doris adopted a grown woman in her later years.
Upon her death, she set up a $100,000 trust fund for her dog.
Lauren Bacall portrayed her in a 1999 TV movie.

Why she might not be annoying:

Her dad died just weeks prior to her thirteenth birthday.
Her daughter Arden, died at one day old (1935).
She was a 'size queen.'
During her lifetime, she donated over $400 million to charities advocating medical research, prevention of child abuse and animal rights.
In her will, the bulk of her billion dollar fortune was left to her namesake charitable foundation.
One of her homes, Shangri La, was turned into a center promoting the understanding and appreciation of Islamic culture.
As she grew on in years, her butler Bernard Lafferty, may have taken advantage of her impaired mental state to become executor of her estate.
