Hockey Player

The Resume

    (January 21, 1986- )
    Born in Milford, Connecticut
Drafted 72nd overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft
Goalie for the Los Angeles Kings (2007- )
    Conn Smythe Trophy winner (2012)

Why he might be annoying:

Despite being named to the 2010 U.S. Olympic men's hockey team, he did not play in a game during the tournament.
Many Kings fans were initially skeptical of him making the team, as they felt that Jonathan Bernier should have had the job.
He left college a year earlier, in order to pursue a pro hockey career.
His pre-game ritual is singing songs to himself, prior to warmup.

Why he might not be annoying:

He guided his high school team to two state championships.
He guided the University of Massachusetts-Amherst to the school's first appearance at the NCAA Frozen Four tournament (2007).
He won his first NHL game, as an emergency replacement to Erik Ersberg.
He supplanted Ersberg as the team's starting goalie in his first full NHL season.
He set the Kings franchise record for most wins in a single season (2010).
He backstopped the Kings to the franchise's first Stanley Cup title (2012).
He was the second consecutive American born goaltender to earn Conn Smythe trophy honors.
