Why she might be annoying:

    Lucille Ball wanted her for the role of Ethel on I Love Lucy but she had to turn her down as she was signed for a TV show with Burns and Allen (she made one guest appearance).
    She was considered for the role of Granny on The Beverly Hillbillies but considered too 'bosomy' for the part.
    She was too ill for her last appearance on 'Petticoat Junction' and a look-alike was called to 'stand around in the background, without dialogue.'
    Her second husband died of a heart attack just one week after she died.
