    It was the state's original capitol, then it moved to Charleston, then this city became the capitol again five years later before it moved to Charleston again for good (1885).
    The post-industrial era has not exactly been kind to this city.
    The city has an old, brown, worn-out and vacant feel to it.
    People in Ohio and Pennsylvania like to come here to get drunk.
    Joseph McCarthy gave his famous 'Enemies from Within' speech here (1950).

    It has been called a 'mini-Pittsburgh.'
    Many consider those old and worn-out buildings historic.
    It was an iron and steel manufacturing center before the Great Depression.
    By the end of the 1800's, it was one of America's wealthiest per capita cities.
    They have turned many of their vacant facilities into shops and restaurants.
    It has its own island in the Ohio River that features a casino, events center and racetrack.
