She grew up in a very religious household, both of her parents were strict ministers.
She is a pack rat tending not to throw anything out.
She worked in a legal office but quit her job to join Bonnie and June's Pointers-A pair.
She married at seventeen.
Her 1977 solo album was not released.

Why she might not be annoying:

Because of her Pointers-A pair, The Pointer Sisters were formed (1969).
She said that she only got two new dresses a year as a child, one at Christmas and one at Easter.
The Pointer Sisters recorded a song in honor of her daughter Jada.
Even though she is from Oakland, she is inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame (1998).
She enjoys painting.
