    (April 16, 1928-January 29, 2002)
    Born in Austin, Texas
Defensive back for the Los Angeles Rams (1952-53), St. Louis Cardinals (1954-59) and Detroit Lions (1960-65)
Career total of 68 interceptions for 1,207 yards

Why he might be annoying:

Growing up in Austin, he was nicknamed 'Cue Ball' when an opponent refused to pay up on a pool bet and he beaned him in the head with a thrown cue ball.
He initially hated his 'Night Train' nickname.
His signature move, the 'Night Train Necktie' (wrapping his arms around an offensive player's neck and throwing him to the ground), was eventually banned by the NFL for being too dangerous.
He was singer Dinah Washington's seventh and last husband.

Why he might not be annoying:

When he was three months old, his prostitute mother abandoned him in a dumpster. He was discovered and taken in by widow Ella Lane.
As a rookie, he set the single season record with 14 interceptions.
As of 2010, the record still stands despite the season expanding from 12 to 16 games.
During the NFL's 50th anniversary celebrations (1969), he was named the best cornerback in the history of pro football.
He headed the Police Athletic League youth sports program in Detroit.
