'Ghostbusters' is one of the corniest songs of all time.
He sued Huey Lewis in 2001 for comments Lewis made on an episode of VH1's Behind the Music (2001).
He lost a previous court case against Huey Lewis. He claimed Huey's song, 'I Want a New Drug,' sounds just like 'Ghostbusters.'
He made the phrase 'Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters' very popular in the 80's.
He is a one hit wonder.
His web page claims he is afraid of ghosts and the dark.

Why he might not be annoying:

He won a Grammy award.
In 1973, he wrote the song 'Mr. Telephone Man,' but decided not to use that song on any of his solo albums. In 1983, New Edition decided to record 'Mr Telephone Man' and it ended up being a hit single.
He started playing music at five.
He was the guitar player for Marvin Gaye's band at fifteen.
