    Director/producer/writer mainly of low-budget action and horror films
    Films included ‘Dr. Sex’ (1964), ‘Girl in Gold Boots’ (1968), ‘The Astro-Zombies’ (1968), ‘The Corpse Grinders’ (1971), ‘Blood Orgy of the She-Devils’ (1973), ‘The Doll Squad’ (1973), ‘The Worm Eaters’ (1977), ’10 Violent Women’ (1982), ‘Dimensions in Fear’ (1998) and ‘Heart of a Boy’ (2006)

Why he might be annoying:

    He sported a goofy-looking handlebar mustache.
    He always wore a boar’s tooth on a necklace.
    His films were low budget and looked it.
    His ‘Astro-Zombies’ has been named by several critics as one of the handful of films that can compete with Ed Wood’s ‘Plan 9 from Outer Space’ for the title of ‘worst film of all time.’

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a magician, acrobat and fire-eater before becoming a director.
    His Las Vegas mansion feature live-in strippers.
    On his web site, he offered to autograph purchased DVDs for no additional charge.
    He said, ‘The easiest thing is making the film. The toughest thing is getting the money. The second toughest is getting it back.’
    Quentin Tarantino admitted that the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad in ‘Kill Bill’ was inspired by Mikels’ ‘Doll Squad.’
