Why he might be annoying:

    His nicknames were 'Kermit' and 'The King.'
    He was a mediocre starting goaltender at best.
    He had the distinction of being the goaltender who surrendered the majority of Wayne Gretzky's goals during the 1980's.
    He was forced to sit out the 1983 NHL All-Star Game due to an ear injury.
    He was extremely undersized for a goaltender.
    Despite being a mainstay in the Canucks crease during the early to mid 1980's, he lost his starting job to Kirk McLean.

    He established himself as a starting goaltender upon being traded to Vancouver.
    He guided the Canucks to the franchise's first appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals (1982).
    He held the majority of the Canucks goaltending records, prior to having them broken by both Kirk McLean and Roberto Luongo.
    He was the last active player to play in the World Hockey Association at the time of his retirement.
    He was one of the first inductees into the WHA's Hall of Fame (2010).
