Why he might be annoying:

    He played on seven different NHL teams.
    His tenure with the Rangers lasted eight games.
    He viciously laid out a two hand slash on Dennis Polonich, which caused the latter to endure a concussion and severe facial injuries that required reconstructive surgery (1978).
    He received the second longest suspension (at the time) in NHL history as a result of his actions.
    His style of play was extremely rough and aggressive.
    He was the key player acquired by Toronto in the Lanny McDonald trade (1979).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was the first ever draft pick in the history of the Scouts/Rockies/Devils franchise.
    He was the last player, prior to Wayne Gretzky to wear #99 in an NHL regular season game.
    He had fun with the distinction in a commercial for the Canadian furniture store chain Leon's, as part of their 99th Anniversary Sale promotion.
    He was a member of the Canadian men's hockey team that returned to the IIHF World Championships after a lengthy absence (1977).
