She was rumored to have spied for Germany during WWII.
During her marriage to Prince Fakhri, she had an affair with British diplomat Duff Cooper.
She told Noel Coward about her final husband, 'I could never sleep with Loel. He farts too much.'
She explained her six houses around the world with, 'You can't possibly spend twelve months at any one place.'
She liked to invite fellow socialite Babe Paley to parties, telling her they were causal dress when they were really black tie.
She suffered from depression.
She officially died of a heart attack, but it was rumored that she committed suicide because she was worried about losing her looks and her rich husband.
