Why he might be annoying:

    He was involved in a family feud that went public following the death of his father.
    Despite playing 10 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he left the team on sour terms with ownership.
    He became a journeyman player following his departure from Pittsburgh.
    Despite his status as a fan favorite in Pittsburgh, he angered many Steeler fans when he signed with the archrival Baltimore Ravens.
    Despite the numbers he posted in Pittsburgh, many Steeler fans have mixed reactions about whether or not his number 26 should be taken out of circulation.
    He was released by the Raiders after failing his physical at training camp (2004).

    He attended Purdue University on a football scholarship.
    He is the first player in NFL history to return to active play following reconstructive surgery in the same season.
    Despite leaving the Steelers on sour terms, he later made amends with the Rooney Family.
    He successfully made the transition from playing defensive back to safety.
    He made the Pro Bowl roster 11 times, which is a record for a defensive back.
    He was part of a dominating Ravens defense which won the Super Bowl (2000).
    Despite the acrimonious relationship he had with the Rooneys, he was inducted into the Pro Bowl Hall of Fame as a member of the Steelers.
