Why Inuvik, Northwest Territories might be annoying:

    It has an extremely harsh winter climate.
    Despite having a substantial population, it only has one traffic signal in the community.
    Due to its location north of the Arctic Circle, it experiences polar night and the midnight sun for significant portions of the year.
    It was isolated from the rest of the country, prior to the construction of the Dempster Highway.
    Its economy experienced a significant decline following the closure of the Canadian Forces Base.

Why Inuvik, Northwest Territories might not be annoying:

    It was established as a replacement settlement for Aklavik, which was prone to flooding.
    It is the northernmost community in North America, which is possible to access by car.
    The intersection of Mackenzie Road and Veterans Way holds the unique distinction of being the northernmost intersection in North America that is controlled by a traffic signal.
    It is one of the few communities in Canada that has a predominantly Indigenous population.
    It hosts the Midnight Sun Fun Run on the weekend closest to the summer solstice, which draws runners worldwide to the community.
