Why she might be annoying:

    She wore snakeskin prints at courtside.
    She frequently said the NCAA should ‘dump the COVID testing.’
    After an investigation found that Baylor officials had improperly handled accusations of sexual abuse involving students, including athletes, she said, ‘If somebody’s around you and they say, ‘I will never send my daughter to Baylor,’ you knock them right in the face.’ (2017)
    Former Baylor player Britney Griner claimed that Mulkey and other university officials asked her to not discuss her sexuality because it would hurt recruiting.
    When a reporter noted that he had not heard her make any public comment about Griner’s imprisonment in Russia, she snapped, ‘And you won’t.’ (September 25, 2022)

    She was valedictorian of her high school, with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
    She played on the US basketball team that won an Olympic gold medal at Los Angeles (1984).
    She coached Baylor to a perfect 40-0 record (2012).
    She was the first person in the history of NCAA women’s basketball to win national championships as a player (1982), assistant coach (1988), and head coach (2005, 2012, 2019).
