    Born in Chicago, Illinois
Birth name is Fred Ingels Peterson
Pitcher for the New York Yankees (1966-74), Cleveland Indians (1974-76) and the Texas Rangers (1976)

Why he might be annoying:

He is remembered for swapping wives with his teammate Mike Kekich, prior to the start of 1973 Spring Training.
On top of that, he swapped children and family pets with Kekich, which made things all the more weird.
He was booed at every American League stadium he played in when he pitched, after the swap became public knowledge.
His unorthodox swinging lifestyle prompted the Yankees to trade him a year later.
He was relatively inconsistent as a starting pitcher.
He never played in a post-season game with the Yankees.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a promising hockey player, before opting to switch to baseball full-time.
He recorded his best statistical season when he posted a 20-11 record, earning his first All-Star Game appearance (1970.)
To date, he holds the major league record of having the lowest ratio of base on balls per innings by a left-handed pitcher.
He overcame cancer on two occasions.
He still remains married to Susanne Kekich 50 years after his wife swap became public.
