Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He was one of 14 children in his family.
He lived in the shadows of both his older brothers, Cloyd and Ken.
He primarily rode the bench for the Yankees during Casey Stengel's run as manager.
He didn't receive a lot of recognition for his defensive accolades as a result of playing in the same era as Brooks Robinson.
He was involved in a bar altercation, prior to the start of spring training (1965).
His major league career ended after he publicly called out the Braves management, citing the team didn't bother to teach fundamentals.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a versatile infielder, as he was able to play the middle infield, as well as his natural position of third base.
He landed a full-time roster spot on the Yankees under Ralph Houk.
He eatned two World Series rings as a member of the Yankees (1961, 1962).
He and Ken are the first set of brothers in major league history to hit a home run in the same series as a member of opposing teams (1964).
He posted his career bests in both home runs and RBI's as a member of the Braves.
He and Ken are the first set of brothers to win the Gold Glove Award.
Some baseball pundits considered him to be a better defensive third baseman then Brooks Robinson.
