Why she might be annoying:

    Some early ‘slash’ cartoons that she posted online prompted Cartoon Brew to muse, ‘Frankly I’m not sure what’s more disturbing: drawings of the Terrytoons characters Sourpuss and Gandy getting it on, drawings of characters from Ed, Edd n Eddy getting it on or drawings of characters from Ratatouille getting it on.’
    A review of one of her early shorts (‘Johnny Noodleneck’) said, ‘It’s a sweet little tale if you can get past the whole child abduction thing.’
    She named her pet cat Lion.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She and her future husband, Ian Jones-Quartey, were assaulted for being an interracial couple (2009).
    She was named to Forbes magazine’s ’30 Under 30’ list (2012).
    She was included on Variety’s ‘Hollywood’s New Leaders: The Creatives’ list (2016).
    She was the first woman to create a show for Cartoon Network.
    She said about her inclusion of LGBTQ themes in ‘Steven Universe,’ ‘It really makes a difference to hear stories about how someone like you can be loved. And if you don’t hear those stories, it will change who you are.’
    She said, ‘I love making animation for kids. I think they’re such a great audience. Their imaginations are so huge.’
