The Resume

    (1994- )
    British gospel choir
    Based in London
Founded by Karen Gibson (choir conductor/workshop leader)
Recorded 'All of Me,' 'Amazing Grace,' 'I Say a Little Prayer,' 'Make You Feel My Love' 'Halo,' 'Something Inside So Strong,' and 'You're the Voice'
Sang a gospel version of 'Stand by Me' at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (May 19, 2018)

Why they might be annoying:

They signed with Sony after the Royal Wedding gig.
They were injected into the Royal Family's feud following explosive allegations of racism (March 2020).
In the aftermath of the bullying claims against Meghan at the Palace, reports surfaced claiming the couple bullied the choir, requesting multiple renditions of the same song (they put out a statement publicly refuting this on their website).
The statement was also partly in response to an out-of-context interview Karen Gibson gave to TMZ in which she allegedly found it 'hard to believe' that Prince Charles was the one who expressed concern over how dark Archie’s skin could be.

Why they might not be annoying:

Their rendition of 'Stand by Me' topped the U.S. Hot Gospel Songs chart.
Their performance at the Royal Wedding was seen by a global audience of over two billion and instantly catapulted them to worldwide fame in the gospel music genre.
The Guardian called Karen Gibson 'Britain's godmother of gospel.'
They were regular finalists or winners of choir competitions, including BBC Songs of Praise Gospel Choir of The Year.
They performed 'The Star-Spangled Banner' before the first game of the MLB London Series in June 2019.
They remained neutral on the Royal Family debate, although they confirmed that Prince Charles was the one who invited them to sing.
