TV Reality Show Contestant

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He only began modeling at age 15.
It was in his hands that the crown Bello displayed in the panel lobby broke (only one of many instances they were at odds).
He has a maniacal cackle at odds with his describing himself as a ‘happy spirit.’
At the hashtag photo shoot to determine the season’s banner, he was judged to have been in another time zone.
During the opening runway walk, he broke from Mame to walk separately (which Kelly likened to a peacock).
Tyra likened his ‘owl’ pose, at one of her photo shoot briefings, to a ‘chicken.’
At first, he felt like a third wheel in the ‘DMA’ troika that included Mikey and Ashley. Then he compared her exit – taking the ‘A’ out of ‘DMA’ – to ‘takin’ the L out of TLC.’
At rehearsals for the CW acting challenge, his goofy antics were a huge sore spot, not just with casting officials but also with his chosen partner.
His eyebrow wasn’t just a sore spot with consultant Yu Tsai (who also cited listening issues); a Hadassah confessional also alluded to it.
At the Signing & Dining event at the Top Model digs, Nyle interpreted his attempts to ‘communicate,’ not without justification, as gibberish.
Message boards abounded with conspiracy theories that he was allowed to advance round after round simply for being a source of drama and therefore attention.

Why he might not be annoying:

At six two, he is the tallest contestant of the season.
He was the last competitor to walk at the shipyard runway that would determine who made the original cast (Miss Jay warned him sternly that he was not guaranteed to advance).
He received the first best picture honor of the season (‘bound by love’), which granted him the first officially documented #tytytip.
Though he was not thrilled with the prospect of having three years of frizzy hair shaved down, he was a much better sport about his makeover than Hadassah was.
He compared the late-night bedroom shouting match between Mikey and Bello to what ultimately led to Romeo’s ouster the previous season.
In the bottom three at the panel that saw Courtney and Bello exiled – the episode of his 22nd birthday – his score was the last to be revealed, leaving him in the clear.
He was at risk of elimination at three consecutive panels (versus two for Hadassah; sharp-eyed viewers noticed him in the Las Vegas previews).
He correctly called the ‘BOOK IT’ reference in the Tyra-mail display — go-sees!
He considers himself a ‘party in a shot glass’ — as the shoot for the final part of the ‘Bootyful’ clip so clearly demonstrated.
He compared the founder of Zappos Couture – for which the winning contestant would score a contract – to Steve Jobs.
The week of his elimination episode, production announced that it was looking for other networks to continue the series (which announced its cancellation on the CW three weeks earlier).
