The lyrics to her song 'Chewing Gum' can be interpreted as a celebration of promiscuity.
She has been often called 'the indie Kylie Minogue.'

Her music partner/boyfriend died of a heart defect in 2001.
After his death, she sunk into a depression, which explains the long wait for her debut album.
