The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He was sentenced to six months in jail after being caught with over $3,000 in counterfeit money (2001).
He was sentenced to a year in jail after pleading guilty to stealing a credit card (2004).
He pled guilty to money laundering and bank fraud charges (2005), then spent three years trying to withdraw his plea, firing three court-appointed attorneys in the process.
Prosecutors described his court filings as 'rambling, confusing, outlandish, and largely incoherent.'
He tried to claim diplomatic immunity from prosecution as a head of state.
He failed to show for several sentencing hearings, which his lawyer explained happened because Ingram believed the court dates were 'optional.'
When he was finally sentenced, he received 92 months in prison (September 16, 2008).
He failed to show up at federal prison (December 5, 2008), going on the lam for a month before being caught.

Why he might not be annoying:

During Super Bowl XXV, he eluded five Bills defenders to make a critical first down during a touchdown drive.
When Giants quarterback Jeff Hostetler was asked to name his favorite receiver, he said, 'Ingram. He works harder for me.'
He denied that he had claimed to be a head of state, insisting, 'I don't pretend to be a lawyer, but I'm very sane.'
He had asked that his prison sentence be delayed so he could watch the final game of the freshman season of his son, Mark Jr., a running back with the University of Alabama.
He was arrested just as he was sitting down to watch the Sugar Bowl on TV (January 3, 2009).
Thanks to the arrest, he did not have to watch his son's team lose to Utah, 31-17.
