Why America's Funniest People might be annoying:

    The series was under the shadow of ’America's Funniest Home Videos.’
    Sorkin’s hosting outfits were visually noisy, even by 90’s standards.
    Sorkin was fired in 1992 and was replaced by Kitaen, leading to a wrongful dismissal lawsuit.
    The series featured a character named Jackalope, part jack rabbit part antelope that terrorized people.
    The series did not run as long as its parent show.

Why America's Funniest People might not be annoying:

    Episodes aired right after ’America's Funniest Home Videos.
    The show gave non famous people a chance to show off comical skills.
    Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made a guest appearance singing about peanut butter.
    They give out cash prizes.
    Acts would include jokes, celebrity impersonations, singing, dancing, stunts and pranks.
    All acts were impressive, particularly the celebrity impersonations (Bob Dylan ordering a pizza, Joan Rivers singing ‘Cold Hearted Snake’ etc…).
    Like Full House, the series showcased Coulier’s skills as a stand up comedian and voice actor (providing the voice for Jackelope).
