Her mother nicknamed her ‘Verbal’ – the inspiration for her alias of rapper Verbalicious – because of her chattiness.
She attempted to burn down an ex-boyfriend’s house — while they were both inside!
She regards Gwen Stefani as a musical and fashion inspiration.
What really put her on the world stage wasn’t her musical chops, but chewing out an X-Factor competitor for… presumedly copying her husband’s fashion style. (They were both fired.)

Why she might not be annoying:

She has a very clear voice.
She regards Kate Bush and Alanis Morissette as musical inspirations.
She is a fan of Stanley Kubrick.
Among others, she was a featured artist on LMFAO’s Champagne Showers.
If not talented, she was damn persistent.
To be fair, two reasons for Simon Cowell lasting (see the profile image) are his clout in the industry and his profile across the pond.
