Why he might be annoying:

    His size initially led hockey pundits to believe he wasn't able to handle the grind of playing professionally.
    He routinely talked about threatening to retire during his last few seasons with the Canadiens.
    He demanded a trade out of Montreal, when he felt he was going to lose his playing time.
    His tenure with the Black Hawks lasted only 16 games.
    He played on three different WHA teams in the final two seasons of his career.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He earned six Stanley Cup rings as a member of the Canadiens.
    He played in the NHL All-Star Game six times during his career (1958-60, 1962, 1965, 1967).
    He was considered a solid two-way forward in his prime years, who excelled at both scoring and playing defensively.
    He recorded 40 points during his rookie season, good enough to earn the Calder Trophy (1958-59).
    He co-founded the Colorado Eagles franchise, which started in the Central Hockey League, before being promoted to the ECHL and later as the AHL affiliate for the Colorado Avalanche.
