Quarterbacks coach for the Cleveland Browns (1999-2000), Indianapolis Colts (2001), Jacksonville Jaguars (2002) and the New England Patriots (2003)
Offensive co-ordinator for the Saskatchewan Roughriders (1988), Calgary Stampeders (1990-96) and the New York Giants (2004-06)
Head coach and general manager of the New Jersey Red Dogs (1996-98) and the Calgary Stampeders (2008- )

Why he might be annoying:

He was a journeyman quarterback.
In the NFL, he was considered a coaching nomad.
His play calling has been viewed as being predictable and conservative by football pundits.
He wears sweatshirts on the sidelines which makes his game day fashion sense look similar to that of Bill Belichick.
In New York, he was frequently criticized for refusing to utilize the running game in key situations.

He earned All-American honors while attending Penn State University (1972).
He was instrumental in the establishments of many star quarterbacks in both the NFL and CFL.
He earned a Super Bowl ring as the Patriots quarterback coach (2003).
He brought discipline and structure to a Stampeder team which lacked it in the seasons following the departure of Wally Buono.
He guided the Stampeders to a Grey Cup in his first season as the team's head coach (2008).
