Actor

The Resume

    (October 27, 1957- )
    Born in Kansas City, Missouri
Birth name is Jeffrey Franklin East
Portrayed Huck Finn in 'Tom Sawyer' (1973) and 'Huckleberry Finn' (1974)
Portrayed Young Clark Kent in 'Superman' (1978)
Acted in 'Klondike Fever,' 'Deadly Blessing,' 'Up the Creek,' 'Pumpkinhead,' and 'Another Chance'

Why he might be annoying:

    His nickname is Bull.
He auditioned to portray Jimmy Olsen.
His earliest acting experience was playing male roles staged by the all girls school that his sisters attended.
He was made to wear a black wig and a prosthetic nose to more resemble a young Christopher Reeve for his scenes in 'Superman.'
All of his dialogue was overdubbed by Reeve in post-production.
He didn't learn about it until the movie premiere, and it caused a rift between himself and Reeve for nearly 20 years.

Why he might not be annoying:

He acted in several roles on the Magical World of Disney.
He was chosen from over 1,000 boys to play Huckleberry Finn in Tom Sawyer, debuting at the age of 14.
He had a memorable role in one of the penultimate episodes of M*A*S*H as a young soldier who has been hit by a sniper leading to a loss of feeling in his legs.
He retired from acting in the early Nineties, to become involved in the real estate development business with his father.
He and Christopher Reeve put aside their differences after he was paralyzed in a riding accident.
He joined the now wheelchair-bound Reeve at Niagara Falls ,in 2001, to raise money for the Christopher Reeve Foundation.
He remains good friends with Mark McClure (who played Jimmy Olsen in the film) and they both regularly do Superman events and Comic-con appearances together.
His original speaking voice as Clark can be heard in clips on YouTube and really there's not a marked difference that would have warranted dubbing.
