Children's author, most well-known for her Mushroom Planet and Julia Redfern books

Why she might be annoying:

None of her works have ever been filmed.
The Julia Redfern books were written out of chronological order like C. S. Lewis' 'The Chronicles of Narnia.'
She had a feud with Roald Dahl over the book 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' which he liked and she didn't.

Why she might not be annoying:

She is the namesake for the Eleanor Cameron Award for Excellence in Children's Science Fiction.
    She wrote primarily for children/teens.
Children were the heroes in her books and not just cute mascots that needed adults to rescue them.
Her semi-autobiographical Julia Redfern books have been called the finest series ever written for young girls.
She was an outstanding literary critic.
Due to their striking cover art, her original hardcovers have become highly sought after items.
