Acted in ‘The Secret of My Succe$s (1987),’ ‘Stephen King’s The Stand (1994),’ ‘Gargoyles (1994-1998),’ ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996),’ ‘Oz (1998-1999)’ and ‘Ken Park (2002)’

Why he might be annoying:

He is typecast as a huge dopey oaf.
Even in cartoons, he most often plays idiots.
He acted in Larry Clark’s explicit film ‘Ken Park,’ which is banned in some countries.
His last name sounds like a homosexual casserole.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is tall (6’6).
He doesn’t feel children’s shows should talk down to kids.
He has to endure inane questions about sponges and starfish in interviews.
He is so convincing as the moronic starfish on ‘SpongeBob’ that his own children have said: ‘Dad, you are so stupid!’
Dr. James Dobson, of the conservative group Focus on the Family, made bizarre accusations that his ‘SpongeBob’ character promotes a ‘gay agenda’ (January 2005).
