    Succumbed to breast cancer at the age of 31 after the tumor spread into her liver, lungs and spine

Why she might be annoying:

    She financed her first two EP albums over the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform.
    She went by the stage name 'Nightbirde.'
    She based it on a repetitive dream she kept having.
    She took an interest in songwriting, after she completed a song her mother started writing.
    She was separated from her husband at the time of her death.
    Despite being a known singer in small circles, she went on 'America's Got Talent' as a way to expand her platform.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She majored in communications at Liberty University.
    She was a popular figure in the indie music scene in Lynchburg, Virginia.
    She was able to successfully mix folk and pop music together to form an electropop sound.
    She was advised by Simon Cowell not to continue on 'America's Got Talent,' in order to protect her fragile health from the stress of the competition.
    Her time on 'America's Got Talent' was remembered for her receiving two Golden Buzzers, before she was forced to drop out of the competition altogether.
    Despite her cancer diagnosis, she had a very optomistic view on life.
