The Resume

    (2005- )
    Born in Provo, Utah
    Tyler Glenn (lead vocalist/keyboardist)
    Chris Allen (guitarist)
    Branden Campbell (bassist/vocalist)
    Elaine Bradley (drummer/percussionist/vocalist)
Recorded the album 'Habits' and the EP 'Start a Fire'
Songs include and 'Animal' and '1983'

Why they might be annoying:

Tyler Glenn has quite the retro mohawk to go with their synth-pop sound.
All of the band members are Mormon.
They got their name from the lighted trees on In-N-Out Burger signs. By coincidence, Branden Campbell's father helped design those very lights.
They did a cover of Justin Bieber's 'Baby' and mixed it with Ben E. King's 'Stand By Me.'
'Animal' was heard in a Las Vegas tourism ad.

Why they might not be annoying:

They got their big break thanks in part to being asked to open for The Killers. It certainly helped that Killers bassist Ronnie Vannucci Jr. had been in a band with bassist Branden Campbell.
They also got to open for 30 Seconds to Mars.
'Animal' reached number one on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart in 2010, taking a record 32 weeks to do so.
They generated a following in Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah, prior to going national. They even were voted Band of the Year by the Salt Lake City's City Weekly in 2009.
Tyler Glenn has said his main influences are Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen and Morrissey.
